The buffet meal, provided by Sambel’s Catering features Mostaccioli with boneless chicken, Baked
Ham, Mashed Baby Red Potatoes, Monaco Blend Veggies, Tossed Salad, Rolls and Dessert
$30 per person. This cost is supplemented by generous donations from alumni members.
Woods School Building Preservation Fund, Inc.

On April 27th at 1:00 PM, the Bradford Academy/Woods School Building Preservation Fund Board of
Directors in addition to Russ Priestey, our sign maker, installed a wooden sign commemorating the
naming of the BA auditorium as the Shirley Beresford Memorial Auditorium. Shirley Beresford was
the founder of the Preservation Fund as well as an active member of the Bradford political and
education scene for many years. See the Wednesday, April 29th edition of the Journal Opinion for
pictures. The cost of the sign was $2,040. (continued on next page)
Meanwhile we have closed out our Community Bank, NA accounts and consolidated our funds in
three Certificates of Deposit at the Wells River Savings Bank, as they offer a better return on our
funds. As of April 27th, those three CDs are valued at $5,868.42, $19,148.63 and $51,737.71. At the
time of the BA reunion, we will update these values for our alumni.
At this moment we are reserving judgement on how these funds should be expended as the slate roof
came through the winter well. However, we encourage you to consider a donation for our
beautiful Bradford Academy’s future.
***Post Note***
The large clock in the auditorium has stopped working. We have changed the batteries and it still will
not work. Does anyone fix clocks that would be willing to take a look? The Bradford Historical
Society also has a clock from the Blake Chevrolet Garage that needs fixing. Your help would be
appreciated.
