The Trustees of Brown Memorial Library are pleased to announce that Ellie Brown has been selected as our new Library Director. Ellie has been with Brown Memorial Library since 2021, and she brings a passion for libraries, lifelong learning, and community. We are excited to welcome her to this role and look forward to the future of Brown Memorial Library under her leadership. Please join us in congratulating Ellie on her new position!

Ellie is originally from the Adirondack mountains of NY and has lived in NH since 2017. She worked at libraries during high school and college, and has been a patron of at least 8 libraries in small rural communities. She is also a potter and a co-founder of the Kawasiwajo Community Land Trust. In her free time, she enjoys canoeing, swimming, skiing, doing basketry and fiber arts, growing and cooking food, and spending time with her husband, Alden, and cats, Tilly and Sash.
