🚨🚨On Friday August 14th, at approximately 1355 hours emergency services were dispatched to the intersection of Minard Run Road and Foster Hollow for a motor vehicle accident.

A kind passerby left their umbrella, to shade the victim from the sun.

On rainy days like today, you can’t afford to not have an umbrella inside your car ready to go. So we are asking the public’s help to get this umbrella back to its owner.

It is currently in our custody and can be picked up at 132 Hemlock Street.

Thank you!

This closure is NOT a suggestion. It has been put in place for the safety of the public. The roadway is unsafe for all traffic, and attempting to use it could result in serious injury.

Barricades are NOT to be removed, moved, or driven around under any circumstances. These barricades have been placed to protect the public from an extremely hazardous roadway condition.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – NILES HOLLOW ROAD 🚧

Niles Hollow Road is CLOSED until further notice due to significant washout damage. Recent flooding has washed out the ditch line, causing the roadway to become undercut and structurally unstable.

This is an EXTREME safety hazard. The roadway is unsafe for all traffic, and attempting to drive through the area could result in serious injury or damage.

Please do not attempt to bypass barricades or use Niles Hollow Road under any circumstances. Motorists are urged to use alternate routes and avoid the area until repairs have been completed and the roadway has been deemed safe to reopen.

This is something that will take time to repair, we appreciate your patience and cooperation as crews work to address the damage.

⚠️ PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT – FLOODED ROADWAYS ⚠️

The Bradford Township Police Department is advising the public that multiple roadways throughout Bradford Township, including portions of SR 219, are experiencing flooding due to heavy rainfall.

Please avoid all unnecessary travel. Water levels can rise rapidly, making roadways unsafe with little warning. Driving through flooded roads is extremely dangerous and can result in your vehicle becoming stranded or swept away.

If you do not need to be on the roads, please stay home until conditions improve. This will help keep you and emergency responders safe while allowing crews to address hazardous areas.

Never drive around barricades or through standing water. Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as they become available. Please use caution and stay safe.

🇺🇸 America 250 McKean County Parade – Saturday 11:00am ! 🇺🇸

The City of Bradford Police Department is excited to welcome residents and visitors from across McKean County to the America 250 Parade this Saturday. This is not just a Bradford event—it is a countywide celebration honoring our nation’s 250th anniversary.

We are anticipating up to 5,000 spectators along the parade route. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, find a great viewing location, and enjoy what promises to be a memorable event for the entire family.

This year’s parade route is longer than our traditional parade route, beginning at Elm Street and Davis Street near Advance Auto Parts and the Best Western before proceeding through downtown Bradford.

For public safety, numerous law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and event staff will be stationed throughout the route. Medical aid stations will also be available if needed. The Food Court will be located on Chambers Street.

Motorists traveling through downtown should expect temporary road closures and planned detours. Please use caution and watch for increased pedestrian traffic throughout the day.

We encourage everyone to come out, celebrate America’s history, support our communities, and enjoy what will truly be an event for the ages.

See the attached parade map for the route and event locations. We look forward to seeing you there! 🇺🇸🎉🚓🚒🚑
