Monday, the Brady Rotary Club celebrated the Christmas season at Jacoby's Cafe in Melvin Texas. A great time was had by all.

We will meet next Tuesday, 12/19, but skip 12/26. Also, mark your calendars for the 1/2/18 social event at The Locker. We have invited the San Saba Rotary Club to join us.

Brady Rotary Club's very own Claire Whitesell was honored Monday at Brady High School during the School's Veteran's Day Program. Very proud of you Claire, thank you for your service.

Last Tuesday was a big day for Brady Rotarians. Our own Carol Holmes and District Governor received her FOURTH Paul Harris Fellowship Pin. Charlie Humphreys presented it to Carol. Congratulations!

Our guest speaker Tuesday drove up from Austin to present a great program on organ donation. Lillianna from Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (https://www.tosa1.org/) told the Club some heartwarming stories about donor families and organ recipients. Thanks Lillianna.

Rotarian Russ McElwrath was responsible for today's program.
He invited local resident Amy Winters Greer with Winters Family Beef.

Winters Family Beef is a local beef business owned and operated by 6th generation ranchers, Amy and George Greer. Their Wagyu beef is sold by the cut direct to consumers here in Brady and at farmers' markets in Austin.

Their beef is always free from antibiotics, steroids and added hormones. It's nicely marbled, dry-aged, steakhouse style beef that is produced exclusively on the Winters-Wall ranch, just outside of Brady, Texas.

Brady is proud to be the "home club" of our District Governor, Carol Holmes. We don't see her as much these days because she's often off doing DG duties, but she was our program this week. We're proudly displaying our "Home of the District Governor" banner, pictured below with our Club President, Justice of the Peace Maggie Sawyer.

Once again, the Brady Rotary Club is partnering with Helping Hands to provide school supplies to Brady-area students. Stop by Saturday, August 12th, between 8am-4pm at Walmart to Pack The Bus. School supply and monetary donations accepted.

Well here's a first for the Brady Rotary Club (that we know of).... we have a third banner to proudly hang for the next 12-months. Brady is the "Home Club" of the District 5840 District Governor, Carol Holmes. Go Carol Go!

Tuesday's program included representatives from the local Crime Stoppers, Laura Greenwood (L) and Suzanne Coffman (R). Not pictured but present was Sheriff John Dagen. Thanks for a great program.

What an exciting month for the Brady Rotary Club. Last week we awarded two Paul Harris Fellows and this week we installed new officers. Thank you Becky Long for a great year.

Jason Valdez had the program today. He brought representatives from The Haven Shelter. April is domestic violence month. Wednesday, April 26th is Turn Texas Teal day. Thanks for a great program ladies.
