For you locals - here's a good chance to honor a true Brady hero.

Corporal Aubrey Gibson will be laid to rest with military honors on Friday, August 7th at 10:30 A.M at Rest Haven Cemetery here in Brady.

A procession will begin at 10:00 AM from Leatherwood Memorial Chapels, go down S Elm, turn onto 11th St and continue down Bridge Street before heading down 87 towards Rest Haven Cemetery.

If you have a business around the area of the procession Friday, we would like to ask you to come outside and pay your respects to Corporal Gibson.

🚌🍎 Back-to-School Safety Starts with Clear Visibility! 🌳
As students head back to school, more school buses, young drivers, and families will be traveling Brady's streets each day. Making sure stop signs and intersections are easy to see is one simple way we can all help keep our community safe.
The City of Brady is asking for your help identifying intersections where overgrown trees, bushes, or shrubs may be blocking:
🛑 Stop signs
🚸 School and warning signs
👀 Drivers' visibility at intersections
📍 Comment below or call City Hall at 325-597-2152 with the intersection or street location where you've noticed a visibility concern. Our crews will review each reported location and determine the appropriate action.
Together, we can help ensure our children, school bus drivers, and everyone on our roads have a safe start to the new school year.
Please include cross streets when possible (Example: Bridge St. & 9th St.) to help us locate the area quickly.

☀️ Make a Splash Before Summer Ends! ☀️
The City of Brady Aquatic Center will officially close for the season on Saturday, August 8th!
There's still time to enjoy a few more afternoons of swimming, sunshine, and family fun before we say goodbye to another great pool season. Gather your friends and family and make some lasting summer memories with us!

The City of Brady is formally inviting your company to submit a written quote for our upcoming annual contract for as-needed Code Enforcement property mowing and nuisance cleanup services. The City routinely encounters private properties whose owners are in violation of local high-weed and unsanitary condition ordinances. When owners fail to clean their properties, the City intervenes via an authorized contractor to restore compliance, protecting neighborhood safety and property values.

We are seeking reliable partners who own commercial-grade equipment, maintain adequate liability insurance, and can respond rapidly when a Work Order is issued.

Submission Instructions:
To be considered for selection as a primary or secondary vendor, please review the open solicitation and its requirements, which can be found on the City of Brady website at https://bradytx.us/1045/Bids-Solicitations. Quotes may be submitted via any of the following methods:

⚠️ Landfill Closure & Trash Collection Update ⚠️

Due to extremely muddy conditions caused by recent weather, the City of Brady Landfill will be closed today and tomorrow.

Additionally, our Solid Waste Department is currently running behind on residential trash collection routes today as crews navigate the challenging conditions. We appreciate your patience as they work diligently to safely complete their routes.

We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.
