HIGHWAY 65 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – BRAHAM TO CAMBRIDGE

Motorists traveling between Braham and Cambridge should be aware of an updated Hwy 65 closure and detour.

⚠️ Hwy 65 will be closed between Braham and Cambridge. Travelers should follow the posted detour route shown in green on the map.

Please allow extra travel time, watch for construction crews and equipment, and follow all posted signs and traffic controls.

The Braham Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit is hosting a Back-to-School Supply Drive to help support and foster our local community youth and make sure our Braham Bombers have the supplies they need for a successful school year! 💙💛

We are collecting new school supplies NOW through September 29th!

Items needed include:
Pens • Pencils • Folders • Notebooks • Crayons • Backpacks • Scissors • Glue Sticks • Highlighters • Watercolors • Markers • Kleenex

City Hall Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m.–1 p.m.

Update!!!

The Water Main Break has been repaired and water is restored. Crews may still be working in the area of 107 and central drive. So please use caution in this area.

This incident was not related to any malicious activity. This section of infrastructure is old, and is scheduled for replacement. This main will be replaced during the State highway 107 roadway and infrastructure project scheduled for the 2027-2028 construction season.

Thank you to Braham Public works crews for a quick response and repair.

Water Main Break!!!

There has been a water main break on highway 107 and Central Drive.

Crews are on scene and water will be turned off to all businesses north of central drive on 107.

Water will also be off on Beechwood Ave N, 4th St Ne, Dellwood Ave N, Fifth St Ne and Eastgate Ave N.

Crews will restore water as quickly as possible

The water plant is currently back online, and water is being filtered and treated as expected.

WATER PLANT ISSUE

The water plant is currently offline for an unknown reason. Crews are actively troubleshooting the problem and will restore services as soon as possible. The city has water in the water tower, however, that is a limited quantity.

As a result, until further notice please minimize water use, and do not water lawns or use water for recreational uses.

The city of Braham will update residents as information is available.
