As of October 15, 2026, there are 42 cases of Measles in Minnesota. Measles is a highly contagious virus, and the measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) vaccine is the best prevention. Now is a great time to make sure your family is caught up on vaccinations.
Measles spread from person to person easily by coughing, talking, or even being in the same room with someone who has measles. The virus can live in the air up to two hours after the person with measles leaves the room.
If you want to get the MMR vaccine, or if you’re not sure you’ve had it, please talk to your doctor or clinic.
