Today, June 12, we proudly recognize and celebrate Women's Veterans Day.

On this day, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of the women who have worn our nation's uniform and answered the call to serve. Women veterans have played a vital role in defending our freedoms throughout every generation and continue to strengthen our communities through their leadership, resilience, and dedication.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the women veterans of Crow Wing County, Minnesota, and across our nation. Your service, strength, and commitment have made a lasting impact on those around you and on the country you helped protect.

Thank you for your service and sacrifice. Today, and every day, we honor you.

Special thanks to the University of Minnesota Extension out at the Brainerd Arboretum for planting, growing and donating garden planters for our veterans! We have lots of tomato plants, cucumber, jalapeño, an eggplant, and peppers. Veterans come to our office to pick one up at the Community Services Building, 204 Laurel Street, our office is on the first floor, first door in the right and we will help you out. First come first serve!
