A huge thank you to Smiles for Jake Movement, Lakes Area Heroes, and the many volunteers who put together these incredible lunch bags and water bottles for every Brainerd officer and support staff member!

Each bag was packed with snacks, goodies, and important information about mental health resources available to law enforcement officers and support staff.

We truly appreciate the time, effort, and generosity that went into this thoughtful gesture. The support our department receives from organizations and community members like these means a great deal to all of us.

Thank you for supporting those who serve our community! 💙

🚧 Road Construction Update – Beginning August 10 🚧

Starting Monday, August 10, a new phase of the Highway 210 (Washington Street) reconstruction project will begin.

🚫 Washington Street will be closed through this work zone, and traffic will follow the signed detour routes shown on the map.

This detour will be using Oak Street through a residential area. SLOW DOWN AND PAY ATTENTION. Temporary roundabouts are in place at SE 13th Street and at S 8th Street.

As we reflect on another successful Fourth of July celebration, the Brainerd Police Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to our incredible community.

A special thank you to Brainerd Community Action whose dedicated volunteers work year-round to organize and fundraise to make Brainerd's Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks possible. Their commitment and countless hours of work help create a tradition that brings our community together each year.

Officer Engst recently attended the Lakes Area Skatepark Association GnarBQ event in downtown Brainerd, where he joined local skaters for an afternoon of fun, community connection, and even a few skateboard tricks of his own. 🛹

Construction is expected to begin next year on a new skate park at Memorial Park. We appreciate the Lakes Area Skatepark Association for hosting a great event and for their continued work in making the Memorial Park skate park a reality.
