Brainerd Police Department The Brainerd Police Department is a full-service, modern police agency with 27 sworn officers, 6 full-time support staff, and 3 part-time service staff.

We respond to nearly 19,000 incidents per year in a semi-urban city of over 13,000 residents. Brainerd officers patrol nearly 17 square miles and provide transportation security for the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport. Brainerd officers serve their community in patrol, investigations, and special assignments such as Bomb Squad, Police K-9, Drug Unit, Tactical Team, and others. South 10th Street from Wright Street to Industrial Park Road will be closed to through traffic beginning May 18th for full street reconstruction. Local access will be limited. Please use alternate routes and observe all barricades.
