Thank you – from the HOPE Center! As we reflect on the opening of our HOPE Center in Braintree two years ago today, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who contributes to its success and growth. The HOPE Center is a program of Sheriff Patrick McDermott and the Norfolk County Sheriff’s Office. It supports justice involved individuals and stands as a community resource for anyone searching for healing, opportunity, purpose, and engagement.
2025 was a big year for the HOPE Center. We saw 499 clients, including more than two hundred referrals from our correctional center, and 150 clients from surrounding towns.
The HOPE Center also opened a satellite office in Quincy.
Congratulations to HOPE Center Program Director Cheryl Portman, and Assistant Deputy Superintendent of Rehabilitative Services Matthew Sisk, and all the NSO teams supporting individuals who are transitioning back into our communities and giving them a clearer path to success, post-incarceration.
