➡️Parade Route: Start at Sandyston Township Municipal Building and travels Layton-Hainesville Rd (Route 645) toward 560 in Layton where traffic is temporarily stopped for the tractors. The parade continues on Route 560 toward the Dingmans Bridge, then making a right onto Ridge Road, then to Jager Rd and back to the municipal building. It is a seven mile loop and takes about 2 hours to complete based on the number of participating tractors.

Last two years we had over 160 tractors.

Big Announcement!!!!!

After almost three years of planning, discussions, and countless hours of hard work, we are proud to announce that the contract has officially been signed to replace 38 Engine 1.

The new Engine, A 2028 KME with the Severe Service cab will pull double duty as a combined piece (Pumper-Tanker) and will be equipped with a Hale 1750 GPM pump, carry 2750 gallons of water and carry up to 8 firefighters and will be the primary or first due suppression apparatus to respond.

This milestone would not have been possible without the support and dedication of the Sandyston Township Committee and Mayor Harper, The members of the Sandyston Township Volunteer Fire Department, the apparatus committee and the team at Cambell Supply including salesmen Jason Behler. Thank you for the many meetings, the hard work behind the scenes, and the commitment to ensuring our firefighters have the equipment they need to serve our community safely.

We also want to thank our community for your continued support through out the years!

The new Engine-Tanker is expected to be delivered in 2028 and will replace our current Engine 1 (1993 KME 1750 GPM/1000 water) which will be 35 years old by the time it is retired and the former Tanker 2 which was a 1992 Ford with 500 GPM/2000 water which was added as a second tanker for the township a few years back and was sold earlier this year. This investment ensures that our firefighters will continue responding with reliable, modern equipment for many years to come.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this project a reality. We look forward to sharing updates as construction progresses.

We hope everyone is enjoying a safe and happy 4th of July! Happy 250th America!!
