DUBOIS...CRAWFORD...PERRY...NORTHWESTERN MEADE...NORTH CENTRAL HANCOCK AND NORTH CENTRAL BRECKINRIDGE COUNTIES THROUGH 1245 AM EDT/1145 PM CDT/...

At 1213 AM EDT/1113 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Corydon to 11 miles southwest of Carefree Town to near Santa Claus. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Tell City, Corydon, Brandenburg, English, Carefree Town, Mount Pleasant, Huntingburg, Ferdinand, Marengo, and Milltown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 1144 PM EDT/1044 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles north of Corydon to near Carefree Town to 10 miles northeast of Santa Claus.
Movement was east at 50 mph.

👓 Visibilities may drop to a quarter of a mile at times.
