Requirements Include:
• High School Graduate or GED
• Possess a valid Kentucky Driver’s License
• Possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License
• Minimum two years’ experience in operation of basic heavy-duty equipment
• Extensive knowledge of the operation, maintenance & adaptabilities of equipment to which assigned, including occupational hazards & proper safety precautions involved in the operation of equipment

Salary Includes:
• Starting Pay $17.79/Hr.
• Pay Can Increase with Experience.
• Seasonal.

Areas of fog have already developed due to the calm winds and remaining moisture from recent rainfall. Patchy dense fog could develop over the next few hours, especially in river valleys.

Conditions should quickly improve after sunrise, but if you are driving early this morning, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

The Meade County Clerk’s Office would like to remind voters about an important part of Kentucky’s election process that can sometimes cause confusion at the polls.

In Kentucky, Primary Elections are conducted by political party. This means voters may only vote in the Primary Election for the party they are currently registered with. During General Elections, voters may vote for candidates from any party.

A common issue we encounter during Primary Elections is that some voters may not remember which political party they selected when they originally registered to vote. This can be especially common for voters who typically only participate in General Elections.

To avoid surprises or frustration on Election Day, we encourage all voters planning to participate in a Primary Election to check their voter registration status and party affiliation ahead of time.

Voters can verify their registration by:
• Calling the Meade County Clerk’s Office at (270) 422-2152
• Visiting GoVote Kentucky https://govote.ky.gov

Please remember:

The deadline to change your political party affiliation and be eligible to vote in that party’s May Primary Election is December 31.
