The Brandenburg Police were dispatched to Riverfront Park on a suspicious item/package on the main Boat Ramp. The suspicious item was secured and local authorities contacted LMPD and Federal partners for assistance. First responders created a safe zone perimeter around the boat ramp till authorities arrived. The suspicious item was recovered by Federal authorities and the area was deemed safe. This is still under investigation. Further information will be released tomorrow.

The Brandenburg Police Department would like to remind citizens to call 911 immediately if they find a suspicious item or package. Do not approach or look into said package or item.
