🚨 MEADE COUNTY, DID YOU KNOW? 🚨

One of the biggest misconceptions I heard all week at the Meade County Fair was about parking.

You can park INSIDE the fairgrounds at NO extra charge!

I talked to so many people yesterday who parked outside and walked in because they thought parking inside cost extra. The truth is, it doesn’t.

-If the ride-side gate is open, you can drive in and park.
- If the drive-up gate on the far side is open, you can park there too.
- You only pay the normal admission per person, exactly the same as if you walked in. There is no additional parking fee.

Hopefully that saves a few folks some extra walking today!

It’s the last day of the Meade County Fair, and I’ll be there all day continuing to meet, greet, and collect the required $15 entry fee. 😄

If you see me, stop by and say hello! I’d love to shake your hand, answer any questions, or just visit for a few minutes.

One thing that stood out to me this week is just how safe our fair is. The Meade County Fair is, in my opinion, the safest fair in the Commonwealth, and that’s because our local, county, and state law enforcement officers work together to keep our families safe. They deserve a huge thank you for the job they do. Thank atleast one of them today. If it’s a county deputy, they are most likely a reserve deputy. They get paid absolutely NOTHING to be out there all day helping protect your family.

If I’m honored to serve as your District 5 Constable, I’ll be right there alongside them, committed to helping keep our community and our families safe during fair week.

Have a great last day at the fair, and God bless Meade County! 🇺🇸

Come see me this Friday and Saturday at the Meade County Fair!

I’ll be working the gate with Journey Church all day Friday and all day Saturday. Stop by, say hello, ask me a question, or just come shake my hand.

Now, the handshake is free… but getting through the gate will still cost you $15. 🤣 Everyone has to pay!

As I’m running for Constable in Meade County District 5, I believe the best way to earn your support is by being present in our community, not just during election season, but year after year.

Whether elected or not, I’m committed to serving Meade County. If I’m honored to be your next District 5 Constable, I pledge to continue volunteering my time each year at the Meade County Fair, working alongside law enforcement, and the fair board to help keep this great tradition safe and enjoyable for everyone.

I hope to see you at the fair. Be safe, have fun, and don’t be a stranger!

I received a call yesterday from the current District 5 Constable.

To be completely fair, I didn’t realize there was still an active Constable serving our district. Yesterday was the first time I had ever heard from him. (My number is now public knowledge and can be accessed by anyone)

This conversation came after the primary election, and after the deadline to be entered on the ballot. I understand there may still be a possibility of being placed on the ballot as a write-in candidate under Kentucky law.

To be clear, I believe our fight isn’t over. In fact, I believe it may just be beginning.

I have never stopped asking for your support, and now I’m asking for it more than ever!

Our conversation was short, respectful, and professional. He asked if there was any way I would consider removing my name from the ballot because he simply did not want to give up his grandfathered police powers.

I want to be clear, my answer was a firm NO, SIR.

I welcome a clean race with a worthy opponent. That is what elections are about. The people should have a choice.

But I have to ask, If I didn’t know there was an active Constable serving District 5, did you?

I remain fully committed to serving this office with integrity, accountability, and visibility. I believe the people of District 5 deserve a Constable who is present, accessible, and committed to serving the community.

I’m not backing down.

I’m still here. I’m still committed. And I’m asking for your support as we continue this fight together.

-Jack Wilson
Candidate for Constable
Meade County, District 5.

🇺🇸 First off, congratulations to all of those who came out victorious in the Kentucky Primary Election. Whether we agree politically or not, stepping up to serve your community is no small task, and every candidate who put their name on the line deserves respect.

But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed in our local voter turnout.

📊 Registered Voters: 22,316
🗳️ Ballots Cast: 4,719
📉 Voter Turnout: 21.15%

Think about that for a second…

You cannot sit on the couch during the 4th quarter, never touch the field, and then complain about the final score. 🏈

If you wanted change but didn’t vote, you helped keep things exactly the same.

And if you supported the people currently in office but stayed home, you almost helped them lose.

Our local races are ALWAYS close. A handful of votes can literally decide who represents your county, your schools, your law enforcement, your taxes, and your future.

People say, “My vote doesn’t matter.” But in local elections, your vote matters MORE than ever.

Every election is either:
✅ Keeping good people where they belong
or
❌ Removing people who no longer belong there.

But neither happens without effort from the community.

If we want stronger leadership, safer communities, better opportunities, and real accountability, then we HAVE to start showing up when it matters most.

Meade county deserves better than 21%.

Make your voice louder than your complaints.

🗳️ MEADE COUNTY ELECTION DAY IS HERE! 🇺🇸

Although I am running uncontested and my name will not appear on the ballot until November, today still matters more than most people realize.

In a county of 22,316 registered voters, I’ve done my part and cast my ballot thoughtfully for the individuals who will represent my family and our community to the best of my ability. 🗳️💪

This is what local leadership starts with — showing up, paying attention, and making informed decisions that shape our future. 🏛️

Now the question is simple:

👉 Have you made your voice heard today? 🗳️🇺🇸

I’m excited to announce a possible opportunity to better serve our community in Meade County with a dedicated vehicle.

I’ve recently come across a Dodge Charger that would be a great fit for this purpose. With a couple of minor maintenance items, it will be ready for service, and the overall cost, including purchase, title, licensing, and repairs, is approximately $5,000.

As many may know, constables in Kentucky are unpaid elected officials. Every piece of equipment I use comes from personal investment, support, and the generosity of others who believe in this mission. I’m committed to serving not for income, but because I genuinely care about the safety and well-being of our community.

I’m NOT asking for donations, your prayers and support truly mean the most as I take steps toward making this possible. However, if you feel led to contribute your time, skills, or resources, whether that’s mechanical work, maintenance, decals, paint, detailing, or anything related, I’d be grateful for the opportunity to connect. I never want to stand in the way of someone who feels called to be a part of this effort.

Thank you all for your continued encouragement and support. It means more than you know!

This campaign isn’t backed by big money.
It’s backed by real people!

People who are tired of being overlooked.
Tired of being last on the list.
Tired of feeling like their voice doesn’t matter.

I’m not running to be a politician.
I’m running to be present. To be accountable. To actually show up.

Because leadership shouldn’t hide.
It shouldn’t dodge calls, that’s why my number is public, and it definitely shouldn’t forget who put them there.

This campaign is about:

✔️ Showing up when it matters
✔️ Listening before speaking
✔️ Standing firm when it’s not easy

No games. No excuses. No disappearing after Election Day.

If you believe our community deserves better, not louder promises, but real follow-through, then I’m asking for your support!

Let’s build something that actually represents US.
