They Came From Away

From Wooly Mammoths to Wooly Adelgids, a Brief History of Vermont Migrants
Date: Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
Location: Brandon Museum, 4 Grove St. Brandon

Brandon Museum hosts Len Schmidt for a presentation on a sample of Vermont's plants and animals that originated somewhere else (hint: that is all of them). When, how, and why did various species arrive in Vermont, where did they come from, how did they evolve, and what impact did they have? We'll also examine some plants and animals that arrived here and then disappeared, and maybe one or two that arrived, then vanished, and then returned.
