Rankin County Adult Education is now accepting registrations for High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma Classes for summer enrollment.

🗓️ Class Schedule:
Days: Monday – Thursday
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Dates: May 27 – June 30

📚 SUMMER CLASS ENROLLMENT
🗓️ Wednesday, May 27th @ 8:00 AM

🎉 MANDATORY ORIENTATION
🗓️ Thursday, May 28th @ 8:30 AM

Brandon, MS 39042

📌 What to Bring:
• Government Issued Photo ID
• Social Security Card
• Birth Certificate

👨‍👩‍👧 If under 18:

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved student, Darius Jenkins, who lost his life this past weekend in an automobile accident. Darius was a quiet student that had a special place in our Rankin County Adult Education family. His persistence, positive attitude, and kindness toward others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Often Darius talked of his family, and our thoughts and prayers are with them and his friends during this incredibly difficult time.

You will be deeply missed.

She walked in to take a test… and walked out with a whole new future. 💙

When Teresa Rooks came to Rankin County Adult Education, she planned to take the GED International ® test and be done. No classes. No long-term plans.

But something changed.

She stayed.

In just four months, Teresa earned her GED® and her SmartStart credential—but her journey was about so much more than academics. She pushed through challenges, supported her classmates, and discovered new career opportunities in recovery coaching and mentorship.

Her message says it all:
“𝒀𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔.”

This is what adult education makes possible.
