We know you’ve heard this story before, but we need to say it anyway, because it’s that serious: it is DRY out there. And not “my houseplant could use a sip” dry…we mean “a single spark could turn a patch of grass into a brush fire before you can blink” dry.
Case in point: on Wednesday (when the danger level was only High), a cigarette flicked from a window turned into a fire that burned about 40 feet along the roadside before we could even get a truck there. And we were already at the station. That’s how fast it spreads.
Now the fire danger is VERY HIGH. Low humidity + gusty winds = a recipe for disaster.
👉 Please don’t burn anything.
👉 Be extra cautious with anything hot, even things you think are “out.”
👉 Maybe don’t even look at the dry grass the wrong way right now.
We appreciate everyone doing their part to help keep our community safe and our trucks tucked safely into the station.
