Musician Briz will be performing his Neil Young tribute show, “Shakey”. Songs include Cowgirl in the Sand, The Loner, Needle and the Damage Done, Ohio, Heart of Gold, and many, many more. In addition to the music, Briz includes narratives about the songs and a "Journey Through the Past" of Neil's amazing career. And of course, there will be plenty of flannel!

Registration is required to attend this IN PERSON event.

Our annual meeting was held on June 16th and was a great success! The Friends of the Library presented Blackstone Library with a $90,000 check to support library programs, activities, and more. The considerable gift marked an incredibly successful year of fundraising through book sale events, online sales, and a holiday basket sale. Thanks to everyone's hard work in helping to make it happen and in supporting our wonderful library!

Our adult summer reading challenge has begun! Stop by the display downstairs in our Lobby to pick up your game card and get started for your chance to win a gift card to Ashley's Ice Cream, New England Brewing Co., Whats the Issue? What a great turnout for our summer learning kick off this past Saturday! Kids danced, crafted, played games, and enjoyed their Ashley's ice cream. The summer make-n-takes were a hit and we can't wait to see photos of your growing marigolds and beans! Thanks to the library staff who facilitated this wonderful event! If you didn't make it, visit the kids department in the library to pick up your summer learning form.

Friendly reminder to join us on the library lawn on Saturday, June 13th from 1-3pm for an afternoon of fun for all ages, featuring live music by the Keith Cooper Trio, crafts, face painting, lawn games, and free Ashley's ice cream (while supplies last!). Be sure to grab your summer reading challenge card to complete throughout the summer for a chance to win prizes as well!
