Short Beach HH&L Company 4

Short Beach HH&L Company 4 Company 4 is one of three Volunteer fire companies in the Town of Branford, CT.

Short Beach HH&L operates a single Engine out of their house at 64 Shore Dr. We train every Monday night at 7pm and are always looking for new members to join our ranks. Short Beach Hose Hook& Ladder, Branford Fire Department Company 4, primarily serves Short Beach, Granite Bay, and western part of Branford, as well as some mutual aid to the Town of East Haven. We are one of five volunteer compani

es in town, who, with the career staff (Local 2533) out of Fire HQ, are responsible for fire suppression, emergency medical, and other public service in the Town of Branford. The BFD is always accepting applications for new volunteer membership, those interested are encouraged to inquire at their local firehouse on a Monday evening, or by downloading and completing a Volunteer Application found at www.branfordfire.com.

As we enter the third day of our fire company's closure, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters who are standing by us during this challenging period.

We wish to clarify for the citizens of Norwich that if you observe a Yantic fire engine on the road or responding to a call, please be aware that the individuals operating that apparatus are not members of the Yantic fire company. Our operations remain suspended at this time.
Chief Wilson is using one of our volunteer engines at this time.

We also wish to remind everyone of the importance of participating in the upcoming city council meeting. Your presence is vital. The meeting will take place on Tuesday night at City Hall, starting at 6:30 PM. We urge you to attend and voice any concerns you may have regarding the closure of the fire company.

Your attendance will demonstrate community support. Thank you
