TCHD encourages constructive dialogue and engagement on public health matters
but will moderate interactions to maintain professionalism and respect. The purpose of these pages is not to create a discussion forum, but to inform and educate the public. Please note that comments made by the community do not reflect the opinions and position of TCHD or its employees. Our organization is committed to fostering a safe and respectful online environment for all community members. We reserve the right to take appropriate action, including notifying relevant authorities (e.g., law enforcement, child protective services), if any comment, content, or behavior shared on our social media platforms raises concerns about potential harm, threats, illegal activities, or violates the safety and well-being of individuals or the public. This includes, but is not limited to, credible threats of violence, self-harm ideation, harassment, hate speech, or the reporting of illegal activities. By engaging with our social media channels, users acknowledge and agree to this policy and understand that comments and content may be reviewed and, if necessary, reported to ensure the safety of our community. All content published on the TCHD social media accounts is subject to monitoring. While the TCHD welcomes comments, posts, and messages from social media users; these may be removed from the public page when the content is:
-Obscene, vulgar, s*xually explicit or otherwise offensive language/content, or links to such material;
-Personal attacks or threatening language, particularly toward any other user or TCHD personnel;
-Remarks that may be considered libel or slanderous, made toward any person or organization;
-Plagiarized material, or material that violates intellectual property rights;
-Private, personal information published without consent, or contains links to materials which violate these policies;
-Advocating of criminal acts or other illegal behavior;
-Any comment or post which is in violation of law, or advocates illegal activity;
-Lobbying or Political Campaigning;
-Spam and/or malware;
-Commercial promotions or advertisements;
-Information that is clearly inaccurate, unverified, and purposefully designed to mislead others;
-Remarks that belittle, direct hostility or hatred toward, or discriminate against anyone, especially if based upon their s*x, race, creed, religious views, national origin, s*xual orientation, disability, etc.;
-All links posted as comments on TCHD pages, posts, or profiles may be deleted if they violate any portion of this policy. External, non-TCHD links on any social media site do not constitute or imply an official endorsement by TCHD
Comments that violate these guidelines may be removed by TCHD at its sole discretion. o TCHD social media accounts are not monitored 24/7. TCHD staff may not see every inappropriate comment/post/message right away but will address them as quickly as possible. o Personal medical advice or patient-specific issues should be directed to the clinical division via private phone call or appointment. o TCHD reserves the right to close comment sections to all users at any time. o Repeated violations of this social media policy may cause the author to be blocked from the health department’s social media profiles and/or pages.
