🥐✨ Have you heard the story of Rana Obeidat, the face behind the delicious downtown hotspot Sugar n’ Proof?
Born in the Middle East and raised in Dalton, GA, Rana grew up with parents who were travelers and foodies. Rana became a traveler too - she worked as an interior designer in Dubai and Jordan, before moving to the United States to pursue her true passion: food.
After obtaining her degree in Pastry and Culinary Arts, Rana quickly climbed the ladder. From executive pastry chef to corporate bakery trainer to a contestant on a Food Network game show ("Guy's Grocery Games"), Rana explored and experienced the opportunities the culinary world had to offer before nestling into her own independent storefront in Downtown Braselton.
"To see my customers come in every week, even for a small treat, that is support. That is showing their love. When you walk around town and people know who you are, smile and wave, that's home," says Rana.
