The Badenhausen Public Library would like to extend its sincere gratitude to Ken Blankenbush for awarding the library $4,000 in discretionary “Bullet Aid” funding.

This generous support will help the library purchase additional materials and equipment, and continue developing the high-quality programs and services that our community enjoys. The funding will also assist us in growing several popular initiatives and creating new opportunities for residents of all ages to learn, connect, and engage with the library. More details about these exciting projects and purchases will be announced in the coming months.

We are deeply appreciative of Assemblyman Blankenbush’s continued support of libraries and the important role they play in strengthening local communities.

This investment will have a meaningful impact on our ability to provide resources, educational opportunities, and community programming for years to come. Thank you, Assemblyman Blankenbush, for helping give our library a much-appreciated boost!

This morning our system is undergoing an upgrade. These occur periodically just like computers, phones, etc.

This upgrade means some services may be temporarily unavailable. Please bring your card with you today if you plan to check out materials. In addition, online resources may be offline during this upgrade.

The good news- the upgrades are usually relatively quick so we hope to be fully functional quickly.

-6/1 Friends of the Library meeting @ 5:30, always looking for new volunteers to join us!

-6/2 Book Club @ 3:45. Give us a call to see what we are reading this month!

-6/6 Friends Book Sale from 9am-1pm. The Friends of the Library are currently accepting book donations.

-6/8 Summer hours begin! Open Monday–Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.–6 p.m., and Thursday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Closed Saturdays for the summer.

-6/10 Board Meeting @ 4:15pm, meetings are open to the public.

-6/13 Author Festival from 10-1pm in Crapser Hall. Please visit our website for more details.

-6/17 & 6/18 Drop in Father’s Day craft during library hours

-6/19 Closed in observation of the holiday

-6/22 Play Doh day, during library hours. Stop in to play!

Unearth a story!

Summer Reading starts in July with a program for everyone!

Pre-K: 7/13, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3 & 8/10 Story Hour at 10am. Join us for a story, craft and more!

Elementary & Tweens: 7/14, 7/21, 7/28, 8/4 & 8/11 Summer reading program at 10am featuring dinosaurs, gardening, fossils and more! 7/21- Chocolate Play-Doh DIY 10-6pm

Teens & Young Adults (Drop in programs during library hours) 7/13-7/17 Beaded plants. 7/21-7/24 Provisional press with Legos. 8/3-8/11 Junk Journaling. Supplies provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.

Adult: 7/21-Photo Keychain making 5-6pm. 8/4-Community Show and Tell 5-6pm, more details coming soon!

Everyone: 7/1-8/11 Summer Reading Challenge, Read books to earn prizes! Reading logs available for all ages. 7/6-8/14 Micro Dino Duck Hunt, Find the tiny ducks hidden around the library for a fun challenge. 7/13-7/24 Golden Ticket Hunt, part of Tri-Town Summer Festival. More details coming soon! 7/17, 7/31, 8/14 & 8/28 Drop in patriotic crafts to celebrate America’s 250th year!
