Burn ban has been lifter for the county. (03/12/2026)

🔥 Burn Ban Lifted in Brazoria County 🔥

The Brazoria County Burn Ban has been lifted effective today, March 12, 2026.

With recent rainfall and improved conditions, outdoor burning is now permitted. However, residents are still encouraged to use caution when conducting any outdoor burning and to remain mindful of changing weather and dry vegetation.

Please burn responsibly and always keep safety in mind.

3/7/2026 The Brazoria Heritage Foundation dedicated a room in their facility to Police, Fire and EMS. We are proud to have been part of the ribbon cutting ceremony and the dedication. 12/6/2025 Major accident with entrapment and ejection. Mass Casualty Incident declared by West Brazos EMS. Life Flight requested. Brazoria Fire on location for a lengthy extrication. Landing Zone established in the West Brazos Junior High School parking lot. Sweeny EMS requested to assist patient care. Wild Peach Fire and West Columbia Fire on scene to assist. Brazoria PD and Texas Highway Patrol on scene to work the accident. Life flight-5 responding from North Base and double loading patients for transport to Herman Downtown for treatment due to extent of injuries. All Fire units back in. Scene turned over to law enforcement for investigation. Great teamwork by all.
