During National Nurses Week, the Brea Fire Department is proud to recognize the critical role nurses play in delivering exceptional patient care—both in hospitals and in the field.

We’d like to give special recognition to our EMS Manager, Danielle Boal, whose leadership, clinical expertise, and unwavering commitment elevate the level of care our community receives every day. Danielle brings a nurse’s perspective into the fire service—blending compassion with precision, and advocacy with accountability.

Her work strengthens our EMS system, supports our personnel, and ensures that every patient interaction reflects our core values: Honor, Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, and Professionalism.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude as we wrap up the 2025 Spark of Love Toy Drive! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Brea community, we've collected thousands of toys that will bring joy to local children this holiday season.

To every family, business, school, and individual who donated - you've made a real difference. Your kindness and community spirit embody the true meaning of the season.

A special thank you to our partners, volunteers, and everyone who stopped by the station to drop off gifts. Seeing our community come together year after year reminds us why we're so proud to serve Brea.

Join us for Naturalist Night on Friday November 21 at 6 PM. This month we host Brea Fire Department Fire Marshal, Nicole Pesqueira to discuss the VERY relevant topic of "The Wildland Urban Interface in California."

This month, Pesqueira will cover the history of wildfires, the fire hazard severity zones, regulations, and challenges. This topic is relevant and part of our park's history. We are looking forward to this Naturalist Night presentation.

Nicole Pesqueira holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Cal State Fullerton (Go Titans) and Associate's Degrees in Fire Prevention and Fire Public Education from Santa Ana College. Her impressive fire career, includes: Fire inspector for the Pasadena Fire Department, Fire Prevention Specialist 2 for Brea Fire Department, Fire Marshal for El Segundo Fire Department, and returning as Fire Marshal at Brea Fire Department.

Pesqueira serves as President of the Southern California Fire Prevention Officers Association, is past president of the OC Fire Prevention Officers' board and was published for her contributions in the ICC California Fire Code Amendments Handbook.
