In 1996, the BFRC opened its doors as one of the first family resource centers in Orange County. We are city-operated and housed inside the centrally-located, 54,000 square foot Brea Community Center. Currently, over 30 non-profit organizations partner with the BFRC to provide many valuable services. These partners include Western Youth Services, Orange County Social Services Agency and Consumer C

redit Counseling. Since its opening, the mission of the Brea Family Resource Center has been to partner with non-profit organizations to bring families needing services, which promote healthy families and strong communities. We are the only City-operated Family Resource Center in the county who offers services without receiving funding from the County of Orange. The Brea Community Center offers such programs as: Fitness, a Teen Zone, Tiny Tots and After School Programs, Special Events, Annual Boutiques, Youth and Adult Sports and more.

From future high school graduates to college students, experts and guest speakers from Consumer Credit Counseling Services will inform and educate them about hot topics such as: budgeting, taxes, front/hidden cost of renting, living expenses, average salaries of people with different education levels and more!
