Results of our Earlybird enrollment in 4-H Online drawing! We had 111 completed registrations!!! We also had 24 incompletes. Please keep working to get those enrollments completed. There is still time to enroll or reenroll in 4-H Online for the school year!

We ended up drawing 5 names. Each winner will receive a $10 Sonic Gift Card. Emails have been sent out to these families using the email listed in 4-H Online. Congratulations to the following members!

Join us at Longfellow Evangeline SHS as we are teaming up LSU Ag Center to talk about Meat Preservation. Learn traditional homesteading methods for preserving meat through pickling, canning, and smoking. This hands-on program will share time-tested techniques for safely preserving food and keeping these historic skills alive for future generations.
This event will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9:30am until Noon. For more details, please call (337) 394-3754.

Calling All Southwest Region Louisiana 4-H & FFA Livestock Exhibitors!
Join us on November 30, 2026, in Acadia Parish for the Southwest Regional Showmanship Clinic! This hands-on learning experience is open to youth in grades 4-12 and is designed to help exhibitors improve their showmanship skills, gain confidence in the show ring, and learn more about animal nutrition, health, daily care, and livestock project management.
Participants will rotate through educational sessions, enjoy species-specific breakout workshops, and have the opportunity to ask questions and receive one-on-one assistance from experienced livestock volunteers. Youth are welcome to bring their own animals for hands-on practice, but bringing an animal is not required.
-Open to 4-H & FFA Members in 4-12 grade only! Must completely register through 4-HOnline event to participate!
-Registration is OPEN now and closes September 30 through 4-HOnline
-Registration fee: $10 (includes lunch and an event t-shirt)
-An optional in-person YQCA Certification course will be offered following the clinic in the LSU AgCenter Auditorium. Participants must register separately through their YQCA account and pay an additional $3.00 certification fee. More details on how to register for the YQCA course will be sent to participants after clinic registration closes.
Whether you're new to livestock projects or preparing for the upcoming show season, this clinic is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with fellow exhibitors from across Southwest Louisiana. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our first Community Club (At-Large) meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 3rd here at the 4-H Office. Anyone who lives here in the parish but does not attend a school here in the parish but would like to participate in 4-H can join this club.

Hey Y'all! Your St. Martin Parish 4-H Jr. Leader Officers here! Even if you missed the opportunity to come out and visit us last night, you can still come to our annual St. Martin Parish 4-H Jr. Leader Mess Fest on Monday, September 21 at BBHS at 5:00 PM.
