This is the official page of the Breckenridge Hills Missouri Police Department.

The mission of the Breckenridge Hills Police Department is to ensure the safety and security of the public through strong community partnerships and excellence in policing. This page was created to provide people who live and work in Breckenridge Hills, Missouri, or others with an interest in the BHPD, access to information about the department and a platform with which to interact with the BHPD.

Everyone is invited to the 43rd Annual National Night Out! 🎉

Join the Breckenridge Hills Police Department on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Sims Park for an evening of free food, entertainment, giveaways, and family-friendly activities!

🌭 Free Food and Refreshments
Chef Daddy’s will prepare 160 quarter-pound, all-beef franks on the Pistol Grill. We will also have 150 individual bags of assorted chips to serve with the franks.

Guests can enjoy fresh cotton candy and snow cones made on-site using two commercial snow-cone machines and an additional individual snow-cone maker.

🎈 Activities for the Children
Children can enjoy:

• A 12-foot-by-12-foot bounce house
• A 40-foot inflatable obstacle course
• An inflatable dunk tank filled with assistance from the community fire department
• A separate mini bounce house for smaller children
• Face painting
• Balloon animals
• Music provided by a DJ

The separate children’s bounce area will allow younger children to safely enjoy the event away from the larger attractions.

🎁 Giveaways, Auctions, and Prizes
We will have 150 assorted giveaway bags available for children as they enter the event.

There will also be a silent auction featuring baskets donated by local businesses, along with raffled items that include gift cards, gift certificates, and other prizes.

🚑 Safety and Event Planning
An ambulance has been reserved to remain on-site throughout the event. Appropriate insurance documentation has been obtained through ACORD for the City of Breckenridge Hills and Jolly Jumps.

Representatives from Jolly Jumps and the St. Louis County Permit Division will meet at Sims Park before the event to review the location and arrangements.

Vendors will arrive at 5:00 p.m. to begin setting up their booths. The event officially begins at 6:00 p.m. and concludes at 9:00 p.m.

Bring your family, meet members of your community, and enjoy a safe and exciting evening with the Breckenridge Hills Police Department. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

MAN HUNT ENDS

At approximately 4:15pm on Friday July 17th 2026, an arrest warrant for shooting suspect Christopher Irving was executed in a joint operation with Breckenridge Hills Police, St. Ann Multi-Jurisdictional Special Response Team and the United States Marshals Service.

Irving was located at a residence in Berkeley, Missouri and taken into custody without further incident.

Christopher Irving was subsequently turned over to Breckenridge Hills Police for questioning, and is charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action. Irving is being held at the St Louis County Justice Center on a $1,000,000 bond.

We would like to thank all assisting law enforcement agencies for their mutual aid and resources as well as the public for their interest and cooperation in this case.

:News Release:

The victims involved in the shooting that occurred on July 10, 2026, near the intersection of St. Charles Rock Road and Wismer Road have been identified as 24-year-old Michael Hunter and 52-year-old Rashad Rice. After firing several rounds on the bus, a black male wearing all black fled the scene on foot. This incident remains under investigation. The Breckenridge Hills Police Department will release additional information as it becomes available.

:News Release:

The Breckenridge Hills Police Department is currently investigating a shooting near the intersection of Wismer Road and St. Charles Rock Road.

Two passengers aboard a MetroBus were shot and later died from their injuries at local hospitals. The suspect fled the scene on foot. At this time, no additional information is available for release.

The Breckenridge Hills Police Department would like to thank the St. Ann, St. John, Woodson Terrace, Normandy, Maryland Heights and Overland Police Departments for their quick response and assistance.
