The Breckenridge Little Free Library at Miller Park is looking pretty empty! We take all types of books (adult, YA, children's, nonfiction, fiction...)

Drop them by anytime! We share the space with the Blessing Box, so any books should be added to the right side! 🤗

We are officially on the map!! We have received an official charter from the Little Free Library organization, and the sign was placed today! #161527 -- LOOKING GOOD!

What does this mean? Well, we are now identified on the map of LFLs around the world. If you have the Little Free Library app, you can easily search and find registered libraries (you'd be surprised how many folks stop on road trips!) People can also check in on the app and leave comments about what they took/left. It's a fun way to interact with folks who visit the library, especially when they are just traveling through. I'm so excited to have the official charter, now that we have been running smoothly (and actively!) for over a year now!

The library was fully stocked when I left today, and there was a definite theme -- CLASSICS! We have the Lord of the Rings trilogy in there, as well as some middle school classics like The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe, Are You There God? It's Me Margaret, The Giver, Summer of the Swans, etc. Go check it out! Feel free to leave some titles you want to share! 😍📚

The LFL has been empty for a few days, so I got some new stock in there! If you have some books to add, swing them by the park and drop them in! 📖 It's so awesome to see it being used so frequently... makes my heart happy!! ❤️ ❤️❤️ (PS: The Blessing Box is totally empty this morning, and I know they would appreciate donations! The colder weather coming in makes it the perfect time to snuggle up with a good book! The LFL is fully stocked with some amazing titles. If you like a long read, we've got some great novels calling your name (👀 Lonesome Dove)! I spy some Nicholas Sparks and James Patterson too! Come by and grab your winter reading selections. ❤️📚

LOTS of new titles in the LFL for ages 0+! Come and grab some reading material for Spring Break! There's a Guiness Book of World Records (kids LOVE these) and also an *autographed* copy from a celebrity author.... can you find it??? 😍📖

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Little Free Library over the last month or so! I want to continue to make sure it is well-stocked with books for all ages! East Elementary school will be having a Book Fair next week, and there are some great value books that would be fun to put in the LFL. We are super excited to officially announce the opening of the first Little Free Library in Breckenridge! The library is located at the Breckenridge park and shares a space with the Breckenridge Blessing Box! We are so grateful to the many community members & businesses who worked together over the last few months to bring this to our community. These folks include Lee Olson, Turner Baugh, and Teresa Fitch, as well as our local park supervisor, United Supermarkets and Higginbotham's. The goal of this library is to help spread the love of reading in our amazing community. We intend to keep it well-stocked with books for ALL ages. If you have any questions, message this page or contact its local steward, Abby Olson Moore. Follow this page for updates regarding newly added books!

You may be wondering "What is a Little Free Library?" Well, it's just that. A free place to share books -- "borrow, take, swap, or donate." We would love for you to leave a book when you take one, but it isn't necessary. You are welcome to bring books back when you finish them, but that isn't necessary. We only ask you to follow a few simple guidelines:

* Please do not stuff the box beyond capacity. If you have a large amount of books to donate, contact the Breckenridge Public Library to see if you can donate to their ongoing book sale.

*Please do not leave books that are unreadable due to excessive damage or wear.

*Please do not leave trash in the library.
