👉What is the role of the Extension Educator?
The Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development, leads and manages the county 4-H program to:
-Build relationships with 4-H families, volunteers, and partners
-Recruit, train, supervise, and support Minnesota 4-H volunteers
-Plan, manage, and evaluate educational programs and events
-Promote the 4-H program to reach new youth and volunteers
-Provide leadership to governing boards, committees, and clubs

A Heartfelt Thank You
As we wrap up another Wilkin County Fair, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible community that makes 4-H such a special experience for our youth.

A huge thank you to the Wilkin County Fair Board for your partnership, support, and countless hours of work to make this fair possible. Thank you to every volunteer who stepped up, helped behind the scenes, answered questions, worked a show, helped in the barns, or simply jumped in wherever you were needed. We truly could not do it without you!

Most importantly, thank you to our 4-H youth and families. The dedication, preparation, patience, courage, and pride you showed throughout the fair was something to be proud of. From the early mornings and long days to the smiles, accomplishments, and lessons learned, you reminded us what 4-H is all about.

Thank you to our judges, superintendents, committee members, sponsors, donors, community partners, and everyone who supported our program in big and small ways. Every helping hand and word of encouragement made a difference.

This year brought many new experiences and changes, and watching our youth rise to the occasion, showcase their hard work, and support one another was truly special.

The fair may be over, but the growth, friendships, confidence, and memories made will last far beyond these few days.

Thank you, Wilkin County, for helping our young people learn, lead, and shine. We are so grateful for each and every one of you!
