As temperatures continue to drop, now is the time to disconnect garden hoses from outdoor water spigots and faucets.

Leaving hoses attached can cause water to freeze, which may lead to burst pipes and costly damage inside your home. A few minutes of prevention now can save you a major headache later!

✅ Disconnect all garden hoses
✅ Drain hoses before storing them
✅ Check outdoor faucets before freezing temperatures arrive

🚨 Reminder from Breckenridge Public Utilities 🚨

Please take a few minutes to check where your sump pump is discharging.

Sump pumps must be directed outside or to the storm water system, not into the sanitary sewer system. Customers with sump pumps connected to the sanitary sewer may be subject to monthly surcharges and fines if corrections are not made.
