I have been in Law Enforcement for over 30 years. This is just a small glimpse of my career. I am currently the Stephens County Constable and I have an open door policy. If I am in my office you are more than welcome to stop by and talk.

Family: I am married to Ashley McBride, who is a Breckenridge native. We have been married for almost 8 years now. We have three boys, Jarek, 16, Brawner, 13, and Brantley, 6. Brantley has non-verbal autism, but that does not slow him down one bit. We are a loving Christian family that believes in giving back to our community.
Education: After high school, I attended the Kaufman County Sheriff's Office Police Academy, graduating in 1991 and beginning my career as a Police Officer. Since then, I have attained more than 1800 hours of Law Enforcement continuing education. Including Crisis Intervention, TCOLE Instructor, Intoxilyzer Operator, Active Attack Management, K9 Officer training, and many others. Since I was appointed as Constable for Stephens County, I have taken all of my state-mandated Constable Training. In June of last year I attended the JPCA Conference in El Paso Texas. There I attained 20 hours of Constable training on Civil Process. On February 9th I attended the Bill LEMIT - Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas for a week long Newly Elected Constable training.
In seeking this position, what are your objectives? To serve and help the Citizens of Stephens County. Since I have been Constable, I have found that it allows me to see and speak to citizens face-to-face and hear their needs. This has allowed me to help them find the help they need. Throughout my career in Law Enforcement, I have always believed in treating everyone the way I would want my family treated.
What are your qualifications for this office? I have been in Law Enforcement for over 30 years. Most of my career has been around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I started working for the Breckenridge Police Department in 2014. In 2016, I accepted a position with the Dallas City Marshal's Office. There, I started off in the Warrants Division, but later transferred to the city jail as a supervisor running the jail on nights. In 2018, we made a family decision to move back to Breckenridge, where I started back with the Breckenridge Police Department. In 2022, I accepted a position with the Stephens County Sheriff's Office as a Patrol Deputy. In 2025, I was appointed by Stephens County to step in as Constable.
