With snow in the forecast, the City of Breese is preparing to keep our streets safe and passable for everyone.

If the expected snowfall arrives, our crews will be out working to clear the roads as quickly and safely as possible.

We kindly ask residents to keep vehicles off the streets so our team can plow effectively. Your cooperation helps us do our job and keeps the community moving.

CodeRED by Crisis24 (formerly OnSolve) has updated their emergency alerting system. The updated platform provides faster, geographically targeted alerts via SMS, email, voice calls, and mobile apps for local emergencies (severe weather, evacuations, boil orders, missing persons, etc.)

With this update, everyone previously signed up will now automatically receive weather alerts. You can manage the alerts you wish to receive and the method they are delivered. To manage your account or sign up for a new free account, please visit: https://accountportal.onsolve.net/breesecityil.

A help guide will also be placed on the City's website: breese.org, Emergency Notifications.

If you need additional assistance, feel free to call our Police Department at 618.526.7226 or email Kurt Detmer at [email protected].

This also applies to everyone signed up in the City of Breese. We are still working on transferring our data with CodeRED.

St. Clair County EMA is conducting a full test of the county CODE Red System.

Recently, CODE Red experienced an incident in which required the migration of all accounts to a new platform. While they have informed us all data has been moved, we want to ensure that users are receiving the alerts they have signed up for. We are conducting a full test at this time. Should you not receive an alert that you previously did, please visit www.alertstclair.com to create a new profile.

As a reminder CODE Red alerts are based upon the address in which you signed up for notifications, not the current location of your cell phone. Profiles are allowed to add multiple addresses should you wish to monitor home, work, school, etc...
