Join us in showing our gratitude and appreciation for their service and sacrifice. Bring your flags, your smiles, and your patriotic spirit as we give these heroes the sendoff they deserve.

🇺🇸 COME CELEBRATE OUR VETERANS! 🇺🇸

Join us Monday, August 31 for a special Veterans Celebration Day honoring those who have taken—or will be taking—an Honor Flight in 2026. ✈️ A short program begins at 11:00 AM and is open to the public.

❤️🤍💙 Then help us send them off! Veterans depart the museum around 12:45 PM, traveling through Carlyle, Beckemeyer, Breese, Aviston, and Trenton. Line the streets, wave your flags, bring your family, and cheer them on

NOTICE: Due to limited staffing, we will be closing the swimming pool for the season effective today August 28, 2026. Our swimmers are always priority #1 and limited staffing hinders our ability to operate in a safe manner. With that, we have made the decision to close earlier than anticipated.

ALL PRE-BOOKED EVENTS/PARTIES WILL CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED

We apologize for any inconvenience but are excited for next season. Be on the lookout for new programs and updates in the coming year!

Make a Splash One Last Time!

This is the last weekend the pool will be open for the season!
Saturday, 8/29/26 Noon to 6:00 PM
Sunday, 8/30/26 Noon to 6:00 pm

Sunday will be our final day of operation.

We hope to see everyone for one last swim before we close of the season!

September Limb Pickup Rescheduled

Due to the Labor Day holiday, our scheduled limb pickup has been rescheduled to Monday, September 14, 2026.

• Please call City Hall by Thursday, September 10, 2026 to be added to the list.
• Please have all limbs placed at the curb prior to pick up date.

The City of Breese will be hosting a City-Wide Clean Up Day for Breese residents on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Street Department.

• Please note this service is available to Breese residents only.
• City staff reserve the right to refuse any unacceptable materials.
• Please follow all posted instructions and directions from attendants.
