For Clarification Purposes:

The warming shelters listed on the FB page for the Clinton County Sheriff’s Dept is a list of potential sites that the City’s or Villages have identified in their community that could serve as a shelter. It is stated on the notice that not all sites will be open and the resident should contact the local PD to know which site is open for them. This will be reiterated again as the updates are provided. If the need arises for a shelter, the City, with the help of one of the community buildings listed in our City, will open their doors as a warming shelter and those that call the PD will be told where to go. The Breese Fire Dept. is listed and it will ONLY be used during a time of a complete power outage that affects any part of the City of Breese. Due to the limited amount of infrastructures that have generation available, it is a viable option if that would occur.

December 6th 12p - 5p at the Breese Fire House, please consider donating if you can.

Please refrain from burning anything until we receive a considerable amount of rain.

Please refrain from burning anything until we receive a considerable amount of rain.

A combination of well above normal temperatures, low relative humidity, gusty south to southwest winds, and dry fuels will lead to an elevated fire danger today. Be careful with with open flames, discarding ci******es, and leave any burning to the professionals.

It was a great learning experience last night along side departments from all over the county, thanks for arranging it!
