Have you ever been interested in learning more about local farm operations? Join Illinois Extension for the Clinton County Farm Stroll for hands-on tours of local Clinton County Farms.

Come visit our participating farms to learn more about the daily operations of apple orchards, pumpkin patches, grain farms, dairy farms, and a meat-producing farms and appreciate the hard work that goes into food production.

At the end of each tour, the participants can receive a stamp on their "passport" showing they stopped by that farm. If your passport is full of stamps from all 4 farms, they can drop it off at the Clinton County office July 27-31 to receive a prize!

The 2026 4-H General Project Show is happening on June 27 at 9 a.m. at Breese District 12 School! Come out and explore all the amazing exhibits, cheer on our talented 4-H members, and see firsthand the hard work they’ve put in all year long.
This event is open to everyone, so grab your friends and family and join us for a morning of inspiration and community fun!

We had an awesome time at our drone workshop today at Kaskaskia College! These young pilots learned all about drones—from how they work and drone safety to the many ways they’re used, especially in agriculture 🌱

Participants got hands-on experience flying several different drone models, building their skills and confidence as they took to the skies. It was so fun watching them learn, explore, and try something new!

And of course… we wrapped up a great morning with pizza 🍕😄

Thanks to everyone who joined us—we loved seeing these kids go from fields to flight! ✨🚁

We will be having a YQCA training event on June 4 here at the Clinton County Office at 2p.m. The training should only take about 1 hour to complete. You are also welcome to attend the YQCA trainings in another county as well. Below are the dates for those:

Bond- June 3 at 6 p.m.
Jefferson- May 29 10 a.m.
Marion- June 15 10 a.m.
Washington- May 11 at 6 p.m.

Since we had to cancel our original Animal Clinic and YQCA event, we will be pushing the deadline to submit your YQCA training in to June 30. Please be sure to have this done by then.

This past Saturday marked the final Rod N Reel Fishing Club meeting of the year, and it was a great one! The kids had an awesome time out at Whispering Pines, reeling in fun and making memories along the way.

We want to give a huge thank you to our amazing leaders, Craig and Jeff, for all the time, effort, and dedication they poured into this club. Because of them, the kids had a fantastic experience from start to finish.

We’re already looking forward to casting lines again next spring!

Join us for a Beef Clinic on June 8 at 9 a.m. at the Tebbe Farm in Jamestown!

Kids will learn the basic needs of beef cattle and practice showmanship skills to help them feel confident and ready to shine in the 4-H show ring. It’s a great hands-on opportunity to learn, grow, and have some farm fun!
