At about 7:49 this morning we were toned out for smoke on Crotch Islands. With local help, we got four firefighters and equipment to the island. We discovered an unattended campfire that was not properly extinguished. It took approximately 4 hours to put out the fire. We also had three firefighters on standby on the mainland waiting if help was needed.

At approx 06:58 we got toned out for utility wires on fire. We managed the scene until CMP arrived to remove the offending branch. And CMP applied water to the telephone cable. Thank you Bruce Skinner for the video.

Work continues today, and is almost complete, for our dry hydrant on Waldoboro Road. This will be a major water source for Bremen. This a a repair/placement of new dry hydrant.

Work has begun to replace one of the dry hydrants on Waldoboro Road. First we need to drain down the water source.

This is a week late, but our training last Tuesday was about SCBA training and search and rescue. We simulated a bedroom scenario where we needed to climb into a window, secure the bedroom from the rest of the house, then search for any people. Once found, we simulated rescuing that person.
