Bike to school day?!? Now that’s something we can get excited about! Awesome to see so many kids (and adults) participating! Thanks to the Bremen Public Schools PTO for coordinating!

With lots of rain and colder temps arriving, today will be the last day for the splash pad for the season. Thank you to the THOUSANDS of visitors we had this year, we can’t wait to see you again in 2027!

We were honored to play a small part in a big moment today that will help shape Bremen for years to come—a golden-shovel ground breaking for our coming trail. Really, the event was about more than a trail; it celebrated connection, collaboration, and building a path forward for Bremen. It’s sparking and bringing with it a commitment of over $40M of additional housing, development, and infrastructure to our community. From state officials, to local boards members, to the dozens of youth leaders from both BPS and St. Paul’s Lutheran School, the crowd was full of excitement. Thanks to everyone who filled out a survey, volunteered on a committee, or worked to make this project a reality and helped make today one to remember!

We’re SO excited to announce that contractors are on site and work has begun on our new trail…which means you’ll start seeing progress over the coming days and weeks! We’ve scheduled a ground breaking ceremony for Tuesday at 10:00 on Baltimore Street (just south of Bowen Auditorium) to officially kick things off…then once the project’s complete, we’ll have a ribbon cutting to celebrate and open the trail for use.

When we set out to build the new aquatics facility, change was inevitable. We knew that at the end of the day, our attendance numbers would tell us whether we made the right call with those changes. We’re excited to report that with JUST shy of 8,000 guests (not including the hundreds of folks who continue to take advantage of our free splash pad hours), it was another banner year at the aquatics facility! Thank you for showing us how much you love our new place and for making it a great season here in Bremen! You can still enjoy the splash pad until cooler weather arrives!

*For context, our average annual attendance at our old pool was under 5,500!

They say the proof’s in the pudding…but in this case it’s in the pool!

7:00 start tonight for the girls varsity soccer team out at the fields…do you think we’ll get to witness the first game under the lights?!

Today we met Max. Max is from Turin, Italy. Max landed in New York nearly a month ago with one goal: 60 miles a day for 75 days on his 15 year old aluminum road bike on a tour from the northeast to the southwest of the United States. He took a brief rest in Bremen before continuing on and remarked at how beautiful our landscape is!

He planned the trip 2 years ago and said that so far, the hardest part was convincing his wife to let him go! Godspeed Max and safe travels—you’re an inspiration!

Due to our current air quality and forecast for the remainder of the day, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel swim lessons for today, 7/17 to protect our guards and your kiddos. We’ll resume lessons on Monday.

For the same reason the aquatic facility will not be opening for its regular operating hours today, 7/17.

While we hate to limit learning (and fun), patron and employee safety is ALWAYS our top priority. Thank you for your understanding.

We’ve been keeping a bit of a secret…but it seems the cat is starting to get out of the bag! Can you guess what our secret is? (*hint* The project, which was 20 years in the making, was spearheaded by the Bremen Electric Department this summer!)
