🚔 Operation Southern Slow Down is Underway in Georgia 🚔

The Bremen Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies across Georgia and the Southeast as part of Operation Southern Slow Down. Our goal is simple: to keep our roads safe by encouraging drivers to slow down and obey all traffic laws.

Speeding remains one of the leading causes of serious crashes and fatalities. During this campaign, officers will be increasing patrols and actively enforcing speed limits throughout our community.

We encourage everyone to do their part:

✅ Obey posted speed limits.
✅ Eliminate distractions while driving.
✅ Buckle up every trip.
✅ Never drive impaired.
✅ Allow extra travel time to reach your destination safely.

Remember, arriving safely is more important than arriving quickly. Help us make Georgia’s roads safer for everyone.

🇺🇸 Celebrate Independence Day Responsibly 🇺🇸

As we celebrate the 4th of July with family, friends, and fireworks, the Bremen Police Department wants to remind everyone that there is ZERO tolerance for impaired driving.

If you choose to drink or use any substance that impairs your ability to drive, don’t get behind the wheel. Our officers will be out in force working to keep our roads safe, and impaired drivers can expect to be arrested.

Before you head out today, make a plan to get home safely. There are plenty of better options than driving impaired:
🚗 Designate a sober driver.
📱 Use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft.
👨‍👩‍👧 Ask a sober friend or family member for a ride.
🏠 Stay where you are until you’re sober.
🚶 If it’s safe and nearby, walk with a friend.

Remember, one poor decision can change lives forever. Help us keep Bremen safe by making responsible choices and looking out for one another.

🚨 PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUEST 🚨
The Bremen Police Department is currently investigating a series of entering auto incidents that occurred throughout the City of Bremen during the overnight hours.
Investigators are asking residents and business owners to review any available surveillance, doorbell, or security camera footage that may have captured suspicious individuals or vehicles in your area. If you have footage that you believe may assist in this investigation, no matter how minor it may seem, please contact the Bremen Police Department.

Additionally, we would like to remind all citizens to take proactive measures to protect their property. At this time, all vehicles involved in these incidents were reported to have been unlocked when the crimes occurred.

Please remember to:
🔹 Lock your vehicle doors at all times.
🔹 Remove valuables from plain view.
🔹 Secure fi****ms and other important items.
🔹 Report any suspicious activity immediately.

These simple steps can significantly reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of a crime.

UPDATE

Mr. Cosper has been located and is home safe.

MISSING PERSON

On June 23, 2026, the family of Willie Cosper reported him missing. Willie was last seen at his home on Mountain View Circle in Bremen yesterday (6/22/20226) around 1:00 PM. When his family got home later that day, he was gone.

The investigation found that Willie's vehicle, a 2021 gray Ford Ranger, was last seen in Rome, Georgia around 6:00 PM last night. Willie is not answering his phone and he is not known to be away from his family, this is out of character for him.

Bremen Police Department joins the community in mourning the passing of Officer Dustin Krish, please keep his family and Carrollton police department in your prayers.

He is healed and home with Jesus. While we are heartbroken on earth, what a celebration Dustin is having in Heaven.

Chief Richards put it best…..Dustin was the best of us. He was unwavering in his duty, courageous, and faithful until the end.

Please, please continue to pray for the love of his life, Emily, Sgt. Chad Krish (his brother), and his entire family…..blood and blue. 💙

Last seen around 1:45 pm (today - 05/26/2026) in the area of the 800 building at The Marlowe apartments (912 Lovvorn Rd).

She was last seen wearing a Lilo & Stitch shirt with pink shorts.
