I just want to warn everyone that there is a new/old scam going around using section 8 to lure people into giving out their bank info. A person asked for an applicants bank info in order to pay for the processing fee/mailing costs of $3.82 to send them their section 8 voucher. This was a scam and they took most of that applicants money from her bank.

BHA will notify people if they have been selected via email. They will not be asking for bank information over the phone in that way. Be careful about sharing sensitive personal information with anyone over the phone, unless you have contacted them first.
