Today, we honor and remember the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend. Our offices will reopen during regular business hours on Tuesday.

Build a Better Plate!

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated 👇

✔️ Fill half your plate with fruits & veggies
✔️ Choose whole grains when you can
✔️ Add healthy protein like beans, eggs, or chicken
✔️ Drink water instead of sugary drinks
✔️ Use healthy oils in your meals

And don’t forget - kids need time to play and be active every day!

We had such a wonderful time at the Birth Baby & Beyond Expo!

Our WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) team loved connecting with families, sharing resources, and being part of such a supportive community event. From helpful info to friendly faces, it was an amazing day all around!

As we head into the New Year, we are updating our Silverdale office hours.

Beginning January 5, 2026, we’ll be open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Good News for WIC Families! Services Extended Through October 31

We’re happy to share that Washington WIC has received additional funding from the USDA, allowing WIC clinics to stay open a little longer during the government shutdown.

Thanks to this support, our KCR WIC offices in Bremerton, Silverdale, and Port Orchard will now remain open through Friday, October 31, 2025 - instead of closing on October 16 as we previously announced.

This extra funding helps us keep essential services running, including interpretation support, nutrition education, and WIC benefits.

💙 Thank you to our community and staff for your patience, understanding, and dedication to keeping families supported during this time.

Please note these temporary schedule changes for the Bremerton WIC Office only due to short staffing:

Mon, Oct 20: Closed 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Wed, Oct 22: Closed all day

Mon, Oct 27: Closed 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Dear WIC Families,

Due to the U.S. Government shutdown, our WIC offices in Bremerton, Silverdale, and Port Orchard will be closed to the public starting Thursday, October 16, 2025. Appointments will continue as usual until that date.

Starting October 16, all appointments will be canceled until further notice, and interpretation services in Spanish, Mam, and other languages will not be available.
One staff member will be available by phone to answer questions and provide limited assistance. Please call 360-373-6221 if you need support.

We understand how important WIC services are to so many families, and we are sorry for the disruption this temporary pause is creating. We look forward to serving you again soon!
