LSR ACADEMY: Last week FLCPS held a small graduation ceremony for active duty, reserve and civilian students who completed our Logistics Support Representative (LSR) Academy at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton. A fully certified LSR has the knowledge and skills to provide direct pierside support to ships, and function as “boots on the ground” during port visits at civilian facilities where military infrastructure is not available. LSRs can expedite emergency parts, secure provisions, and coordinate port services anytime and anywhere, ensuring the delivery of essential products & services to support the fleet’s mission. Congratulations to all graduates and special thanks to the instructors—some of the best LSRs in the business.

RETENTION EXCELLENCE: FLCPS was recently awarded the NAVSUP Enterprise Retention Excellence Award for fiscal year 2025. Much of our retention success is owed to our awesome Career Counselors, who work every day to help our Sailors make all the right career moves. Their support directly contributes to the command environment that convinces Sailors to STAY NAVY. The FLCPS Postal team received 66 pallets of mail for the USS Nimitz (CVN 68) earlier this week, the first shipment of what will eventually total over 190 pallets of mail rerouted from the Western Pacific area of operations (AOR). Our postal staff teamed up with the Operations Department to clear space in our ATAC/MHE facility, where they processed the enormous amount of mail with the help of some Sailors from Naval Base Kitsap. Once everything was sorted, we packed up squadron mail for shipment to their respective homeports and stacked up the rest to be ready and waiting to move to Nimitz upon the carrier’s return from her final deployment. Special thanks to NBK-Bremerton TPU and the U.S. Postal Service for helping get the Nimitz crew’s mail moved, sorted, and in Sailors’ hands in time for the holidays.
