A huge thank you to The 19th Hole Bar & Grill for hosting another incredibly successful Community Night event benefiting both the Bremerton Foodline and Central Kitsap Food Banks. ♥️💙

A special shoutout to Joel Gibson Jr. for absolutely rocking the house and helping make the night such a success. Together, you all raised an amazing $3,500 to support local families in our community!

We are so grateful for the continued support, generosity, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who came out and made a difference!

🚨 MISSING: Our beloved shopping carts. 🚨

Last seen doing what they do best: helping us move mountains of food quickly and efficiently through the pantry line. To know these amazing pieces of machinery is to love them - especially when the lobby is packed and they’re working overtime to keep things moving smoothly.

Unfortunately, a few of our wheeled coworkers appear to have gone on an unauthorized vacation. 🛒💨

If you happen to spot one of our missing friends out in the wild, we’d be so grateful if you could help reunite them with Bremerton Foodline. Every cart makes a huge difference in helping us serve clients faster and more efficiently.

No questions asked. Just a happy reunion. ❤️

Thank you so much in advance for helping bring the squad back together!

Do you know about the incredible work of the Kitsap Conservation District? They’re the behind-the-scenes superheroes connecting farmers, food banks, and community gardens across Kitsap County through programs like Farm to Food Pantry - helping fresh, locally grown food reach neighbors through partners like Central Kitsap Food Bank and Bremerton Foodline. 🌱💚

This week, a couple members of our garden team visited Grace Garden to pick up plant starts… but they came home with so much more than that.

Teddy and Lilly welcomed us with a tour of the garden and shared the incredible impact KCD has throughout the county - supporting community gardens, growing starts for local projects, and helping strengthen food access for everyone.

Then came a story that stopped us in our tracks.

Years ago, our beloved volunteer Troy planted collards - a variety she could only find in Texas - in our original garden space. When construction forced the garden to close, KCD stepped in and rescued the Dr Seussian-looking trees, carefully cultivating them in their own garden instead of letting them disappear.

Now, as we prepare our new garden space - Troy’s Garden - those same collards are being propagated so they can come home again.

A living legacy. A reminder that gardens grow more than food -they grow connection, history, and community.

Thank you, Kitsap Conservation District, for protecting these stories and helping them continue to grow. 🌿

THANK YOU to our incredible Stamp Out Hunger mail carriers, volunteers, and community for helping collect an amazing 17,780 POUNDS of non-perishable food for our neighbors! 📬❤️

Highlights from the day:
🗓️ Oldest expiration date found (so far): 1997 (yes, we had to dispose of it)
🪨 Most interesting donated items: three rocks
🥫 Best unsolicited advice: detailed instructions on how to prepare canned beef

We’re beyond grateful to the many volunteers who kept donations moving all day long. Special thanks to Church Bremerton for bringing an incredible crew of “sorting machines” to help process thousands of pounds of food!

Want to keep the momentum going? Join as a neighborhood captain, donor, or volunteer. Our next event is June 13th!
