Kitsap County Parks Kitsap County's Park and Open Space system currently includes 79 sites totaling 6,344 acres.

We are committed to providing quality-of-life enhancing opportunities through the management of natural areas and specialized facilities, fostering community stewardship, and offering an outstanding service-oriented environment. This includes Heritage Parks, Regional Parks, Community Parks, Natural Resource Areas and Partnership Properties. The Kitsap County Parks Department is responsible for the

operation of the Fairgrounds & Event Center and the Village Greens Golf Course. Kitsap County Parks offers numerous rental facilities including community centers, picnic shelters and athletic fields. , fostering community stewardship, and offering an outstanding service-oriented environment. “Hot Laps” bike event is happening this weekend at Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park, and it’s going to be a fast and fun one!

🗓 Friday–Sunday
⏰ 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Some trails will be temporarily impacted during race hours for safety.

👉 Before you head out:
• Check the posted maps and race routes
• Follow all on-site signage
• Plan your ride or hike accordingly
• Consider visiting other areas of the park during peak race times

We appreciate your patience while this permitted event takes place and helps bring great recreation opportunities to the park!

Looking for a simple way to get outside, give back, and spend time with your people? This is it. Grab your friends, bring the family, invite a neighbor, and join us for a morning at the park.

📍 Island Lake Park (1087 NW Island Lake Road, Poulsbo WA 98370)

⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We’ll be focusing on general clean-up and weeding to help keep Island Lake Park looking its best. Parks staff will provide all tools, just show up ready to lend a hand.

What to bring:
• Water and snacks
• Comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes
• Layers for the weather
• Anyone you want to spend a couple good hours with

Whether you stay the whole time or just drop in, every little bit helps. It’s a great way to connect with your community and take care of a place we all share.
