Brenham ISD’s Summer Meals Program is off to an incredible start, and we are proud to continue supporting our families throughout the summer months. In this video message, our Director of Child Nutrition, Kasandra Davis, shares important information about how families can sign up for upcoming meal pickups, what to expect, and how this program helps ensure children in our community have access to nutritious meals while school is out.

🥕☀️ What an incredible first day of Summer Meals Pickup!

Thanks to the hard work of our Child Nutrition team and volunteers, we served 11,000 meals to families today, helping ensure local children have access to nutritious meals throughout the summer.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped prepare, package, organize, and distribute meals. Your dedication makes a difference for families across our community.

✨ ONE Pickup = TEN Days of Meals! ✨

Our Summer Meals Pickup program continues every other Monday, with the next pickup scheduled for June 15.

Brenham ISD is proud to recognize our Middle School and Brenham Junior High students who are currently attending the 2026 Sam Houston State University Junior High Band Camp. This incredible opportunity allows students to grow as musicians while collaborating with peers from across the region in a fun and enriching environment.

We are proud of the following students representing Brenham ISD: Kayleen Zientek, Lillian Koehn, Chloe Spall, Parker Murphy, Jeremiah Roberson, Wesley Whitehead, Charlie Schramme, Cayden Zientek, Elijah Hollingsworth, Carter Smith, Anastasia Spahn, Beck Bellard, Cash Crampton, and Faith Newman. Throughout the camp, these students are strengthening their performance skills, rehearsing in full ensembles, and preparing for a final concert that showcases their hard work and dedication.

Additionally, we would like to recognize two of our high school students, Layla Winningham and Gwen Westfield, who are attending the Stephen F Austin Band Camp. We are so proud of all of our students for continuing to pursue excellence in the fine arts and representing Brenham ISD so well.

Nathan and Jarrod from the Brenham ISD Technology Department spent part of their day delivering Sonic drinks to staff members who completed their End of Year Check Out Technology Box Inventory Sheet.

Thank you to our teachers for taking the time to verify and inventory technology equipment before summer break. Your efforts help ensure devices, accessories, and classroom technology remain accounted for and ready for students and staff when the new school year begins.
