A targeted Moderate Risk has been issued for rainfall associated with Tropical Storm Edouard as it approaches the upper Texas coast and moves inland this afternoon/evening. Locally heavy rainfall of 6"+ may lead to scattered to numerous instances of flash flooding.

WPC has upgraded our Flash Flood Risk for Wednesday to a Moderate (Level 3 of 4) for portions of San Jacinto, Polk, Walker, Trinity, Madison, and Houston Counties. Elevated rain rates are forecasted generally east of I-45 and north of I-10 and along training bands.

Here is the latest from NHC. Edouard has made landfall and continues to weaken as it moves inland over eastern TX. Edouard is expected to weaken to a tropical depression tonight, then dissipate by Wednesday night. The primary threat remains heavy rainfall & flash flooding, especially overnight. The Flood Watch remains in effect thru Wednesday evening.
