Brenham Parks & Recreation Quality of life is more than an expression in Brenham; it is a mission we embrace. Historically, park land has always been a priority for Brenham.

In 1995, City staff
and community leaders developed long range plans to ensure that continued growth and development of our parks and would remain a civic priority. Since that time, the City’s park land has grown by 79 acres to a total of 183.53 acres of park land within the City. Recreational facilities are first class - from the Blue Bell Aquatic Center to Hohlt Park. We offer something for everyone.

🌊 ONE LAST WEEKEND OF SUMMER FUN! ☀️💦

The Blue Bell Aquatic Center is wrapping up the 2026 Leisure Pool season, and we’ve got one last weekend to make a splash!

🏊 SATURDAY, SEPT. 5
The Area 6 Regional Special Olympics Swim Meet will take place at BBAC. Come out and cheer on these amazing athletes! 💙
• Indoor Pools open to the public 3–5 PM
• Leisure Pool open 10 AM–5 PM

☀️ SUNDAY, SEPT. 6
• All Pools Open 1–5 PM

MONDAY, SEPT. 7
All pools will be CLOSED for the Labor Day holiday.

🍂 TUESDAY, SEPT. 8
Fall Hours begin! The Leisure Pool will be closed for the season, and indoor pool hours will resume.

Walk with a Doc September 1; from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Blinn College Kruse Recreation Center.

👟 Take the first step toward a healthier you!

Join the City of Brenham Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Baylor Scott & White Health and Blinn College, for Walk with a Doc—a free community wellness program designed to get you moving while learning from local healthcare professionals. Each month, a local physician will share a brief 10–15 minute presentation on a health topic, followed by a relaxing walk on the climate-controlled indoor track at the Blinn College Kruse Recreation Center.

We’re excited to welcome athletes from across the region to the Area 6 Regional Special Olympics Swim Meet at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center on Friday, September 5th! 🏅🏊‍♀️

Come out and cheer on these incredible athletes as they compete, encourage one another, and show us the true meaning of inclusion, strength, determination, and community. ❤️
