This page serves to inform the community and citizens of Bibb County about upcoming projects during our active periods. It is not intended for debate or argument, as previously stated. While I am not accountable for past actions, since taking over last year, our team has prioritized road maintenance, including crowning roads, cleaning ditches, cutting vegetation over roads, and addressing potholes to the best of our abilities with a staff of 13 responsible for 610 miles of roads. Although progress may not be instantaneous, we have achieved significant improvements in driveway pipes, cross drains, road enhancements, and collaborations with elementary schools on playground projects. The road department is making strides in the right direction. We appreciate your patience and understanding given the limited resources and funding, which dictate the scope of our projects.

5/19/26. Crews will be conducting patching operations on Hurricane Ridge, Deer Creek south of 20, Rehobeth Road, rockyView Road, Verontown Road, and Homestead Trail. Motor graders will be blading Ragland Gully, Duncan Lane, Little Hope Road, Haysop Church Road, and Chaffee Creek Road. Additionally, Big Springs Loop and Griffin Town Road will undergo grading. Ditching and road build-up will take place on Shadow Brooke Trace. Limbs and shoulder work will be performed on CR 12 out of Green pond , Eastern Valley Road, and starting CR 36 in Lawley.have a great day Bibb county.

A question I've frequently been asked over the past week is who I would vote for. Let me be clear: I am not a political individual and I do not get involved in politics. However, I will say this: every commissioner we currently have contacts me on a daily or every other day basis, informing me about the tasks that need to be accomplished and conveying the concerns of the people to me, so I can utilize the resources they have to the best of my abilities.

Crews continued to cut west eoline and cr16 today, and a new cross drain was installed on Little Hope Road, with additional grading of rough road spots. Graders were working on Partridge River Road, and work was also done on Hickman Hollow and Ragland Gully. Additionally, West Kornegay was patched and work was completed on West Kornegay Road. Tree limbs were trimmed for buses on Eddingstown Road and Marvel Road. Patching was also done on Weg Way by Eastern Valley.

Frequently, constituents inquire about the allocation of their funds. Receiving calls to express frustration regarding roads that have not been renovated in 15 years is not productive. Instead of complaining, let's reflect on why this issue persists and what measures we can take to improve the situation. It's straightforward: our financial records are publicly accessible. Notably, we are in the second-lowest tax bracket in the states. To achieve better roads and maintenance, we must invest in improved infrastructure. The breakdown of state tax brackets is provided above. Simply put, voting yes on the next tax increase is a viable solution, or we can continue on the same course that has been in place for over 20 years. My objective for this page is to educate and inform the community about the locations and activities of our crews on a weekly basis. As I stated previously, I am unable to alter past events, but to move forward, we must be aligned. Please note that individuals who engage in ranting or using profanity will be removed from this page. Let's work together to make it better.

Good morning. Crews will be conducting maintenance work on West Kornegey and East Kornegey today. Additionally, crews will be commencing work on Kinard Road and Hallamn Hollow this week. Partridge River will undergo blading. Crews will also be trimming limbs on CR2 towards 139. Furthermore, ditches will be cleaned on Duff Road. Work will be performed on Long John Road between loggers to maintain road accessibility. 5/11/26

The road department would like to take this opportunity to express its gratitude to Brian Davis, the commissioners, and Jeff McKinney for approving the acquisition of this bucket truck, which will aid in trimming roadways and enhance our fleet's capabilities, thereby facilitating daily operations. We will resume trimming back roadways as we move forward. I would also like to give a huge thanks to all the residents of Bibb County that pay their taxes. Every little bit helps and through your funding, we was able to purchase this for the operations.
