🚨 Yard sign season has officially begun!

Under Tennessee law, campaign signs may now be displayed for the August 6 election, and I’m excited to start seeing supporters across District 6 helping spread the word.

I have yard signs available and volunteers ready to help with delivery.

If you’d like a sign for your yard, please visit my website https://www.kristibidinger.com/volunteer or send me a message.

This campaign is powered by neighbors talking to neighbors, and every sign helps start a conversation about the future of Williamson County Schools.

Thank you for your support!

A huge thank you to the volunteers who helped make our neighborhood meet-and-greet such a success!

I’m especially grateful to everyone who came out to introduce themselves, ask questions, share ideas, and talk about the future of Williamson County Schools. Conversations like these remind me why I decided to run.

This campaign is built neighbor by neighbor and conversation by conversation. The best part of the evening wasn’t the signs or shirts—it was connecting with people who care deeply about our students, teachers, and public schools.

If you’d like to help spread the word, I’d love to meet more neighbors across District 6. One of the most effective ways to do that is through small neighborhood gatherings hosted by supporters.

If you’re interested in hosting a meet-and-greet in your neighborhood, send me a message or visit my website to get involved.

Thank you for being part of this grassroots campaign. Together, we’re building something special.

My Priority: Keeping the Focus on Students

Our schools work best when the focus stays on students, learning, and supporting teachers.

I believe school board decisions should be guided by what is best for students and families—not driven by outside pressures or distractions.

When we stay focused on education, we create stronger classrooms, better outcomes, and a more positive environment for everyone.

Our community deserves schools where the priority is clear: helping every student succeed.

As another school year comes to a close, I’ve been thinking about the teachers who shaped my life along the way.

My first grade teacher, Mrs. Hintz, was just the right amount of sweet.

My fifth grade teacher, Mr. Kerr, made learning genuinely fun.

And Mr. T sparked such a love for social studies that I named my cat after him.

As students head into summer, I’m reminded that great teachers leave an impact that lasts far beyond the classroom.

Thank you to every Williamson County educator, staff member, and school employee who poured into our students this year. Your work matters more than you know.

And yes… here’s my senior picture to prove I survived the 90s. 😊

My Priority: Planning for Changing Enrollment

Williamson County has experienced significant growth over the years, but recent data shows enrollment trends are beginning to shift—particularly with fewer students entering kindergarten.

That makes thoughtful, data-informed planning more important than ever.

As a community, we need to ensure we are using our resources wisely while continuing to provide the high-quality education our families expect.

Good planning isn’t just about growth—it’s about being responsive to change and making decisions that support students today and in the future.

Last night’s discussion around special education services and the district’s T2 transition program was a reminder of how important thoughtful communication and collaboration are when decisions impact students and families.

As I continue attending these meetings, I’m learning more about the complexity of special education services and the incredible work being done to support students with different needs and abilities.

This conversation is especially meaningful to me because my mom works as a special education para in Minnesota, so I’ve seen firsthand the patience, care, and dedication these educators bring to students every day.

I’m grateful to the parents, educators, and staff who continue showing up and advocating for students.

My Priority: Supporting the Whole Student

Every student comes to school with different needs, experiences, and challenges.

Supporting students means looking beyond academics and making sure they have access to the resources, guidance, and environment they need to succeed—both in and out of the classroom.

When students feel supported, they are better able to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

Our schools should be places where every student feels seen, supported, and set up for success.

Today’s swatting incidents at Williamson County schools were a reminder of how important communication, preparedness, and strong partnerships with law enforcement are in keeping students and staff safe.

I appreciate the quick response from school administrators, local law enforcement, and Homeland Security as they worked to assess the situation and communicate with families.

While today’s calls were determined not to be credible threats, these situations can still create real fear and disruption for students, parents, and educators.

School safety must always remain a priority — not only through physical security measures, but also through clear communication, preparedness, and support for students and staff during stressful situations.

I’m grateful for the professionals who responded quickly today and for the educators who continued supporting students throughout the day.
