Los Vaqueros Interpretive Center Learn all about the Los Vaqueros Dam and Reservoir, as well as local wildlife and cultural history.

Owned by the Contra Costa Water District, the Interpretive Center tells the history of the Los Vaqueros area, shows how the dam was built and describes the many animals that make the watershed their home.

Planning a fishing trip to Los Vaqueros Reservoir this weekend? Please note that beginning tomorrow (Feb. 1) daily fishing access fees are $6.

We planted 6,000 pounds of trout this month. Happy fishing!

CCWD is repairing a small section of Los Vaqueros Road near the Marina. This necessary work to repair damage caused by last winter's storms may cause minor traffic delays for visitors to the Los Vaqueros Watershed. Work will continue through January. More Information and a map.

Challenge yourself this holiday season on our final naturalist program of the year. The Upper Watershed Hike will take you into the hills above Los Vaqueros Reservoir and explore the natural and cultural worlds of the watershed. The hike is about three miles with moderate hills.

This hike is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, December 10. Meet at the County Line Staging Entrance (near the entry Kiosk on Los Vaqueros Road).
